Grandier Gil C. Bella, born in the Philippines, earned his degree in Fine Arts, Painting at the University of the Philippines in 1993. Graduating cum laude, Grandier focused his efforts in perfecting the classical painting techniques by studying Renaissance art. He particularly concentrated on the chiaroscuro technique espoused by Rembrandt and Caravaggio, and the sfumato technique perfected by Da Vinci.

His art took a back seat when he decided to pursue his passion in digital graphic design. For a while, Grandier was creatively involved in art direction, photography and digital art. He took this as a means to self-educate and express himself in other forms of visual expression, while also keeping tab of the goings-on in the local and international art scene. After a rewarding stint in this field, he is now back to his muse and is successfully pursuing a career as a fine artist.

His artworks have been published in International Artist Magazine and Pastel Journal Magazine. He was also a recipient of several awards in both local and international art competitions. Works by Grandier have been exhibited in several galleries in the Philippines, Dubai, Denmark, and the USA. He is currently affiliated with the Art Association of the Philippines and the International Guild of Realism.
